Whenever you think about someone who has always been with you and whom you can count upon to stand by you in your times of need is invariably a family member and more often than not, its one of your siblings. So, here’s to decoding what makes your sibling your best friend.

Your sibling is someone who has been there with you always. They are the ones you can trace almost all your memories to. They are the ones who will be in a better part of the photos since your childhood. They are the ones you fought with for toys and they are the ones who will invariably see your kids fight for toys as well. In good times and in bad, your sibling is someone who has stuck through it all.

Sharing the same room or sneaking into each other’s room at night to tell each other about your deep dark secrets, the exchange of forbidden talks have been there forever with your sibling. They are the ones you can really count upon to never disclose any of your secrets, for your reputation is theirs and so is your disgrace.

They can easily reason your way of acting and won’t possibly judge you for any radical act that you do. Your sibling and you have faced the same struggles and shared the same joys from the childhood which has somehow brought the both of you to bonded in a way that you can’t stay mad at each other for long.

After your parents, your sibling is the only person from whom you can borrow any amount of money and forget. This is a whole another story that they will twist your arms and slap you around freely when they need it back but as long as that day doesn’t arrive, you can enjoy the borrowed money without any tensions hovering your mind as to how will you return the borrowed sum.

The one good thing about having a sibling of your age or even elder or younger for that matter, is that if you like one of their things, you can just straight away go on and ask them for it. There are very good chances that you won’t be denied the priviledge. What’s more? Being of the same house and all. you won’t really ever be asked to return back whatever it was you took, and even better is he fact that there won’t be anyone sulking or cursing you to have takeb their things and not having returned them.

Remember the times when you were little kids? Now remember what you and your sibling were doing the whole time? Invariably the answer would revolve around two answers : Playing and Fighting. Remember how both of you wanted to have the same thing at the same time. And how you were fighting constanly and complaining to your parents about how your sibling is mean and wouldn’t let you play and every little thing oyur mind could fathom at that age that would lead your sibling into trouble. Being born to the same parents and raised in the same house, your sibling is probably your only friend who would really and actually understand how and why sometimes your absolutely hate your parents and how sometimes you would be totally love your parents for the things they do. You and your sibling have shared the same rules around the house, gotten the same punishments and received the same rewards for every good thing you did. You both have seen the struggle of your parents up close and so have you seen their joys. You know what pisses them off and what you need to do if you need a favour.
