There have been many artists, actors, singers and directors who when entered the film industry and gave the perception of lasting excellence. But they have failed miserably after one success, letting their fans down and leave them yearning for another good production from the artist. These are the stories of ‘One Hit Wonders’ , some of whom gave up after a few failures, the others keep trying till date..

So, here’s a list of the top 10 one hit wonders of all times.

10. Vivek Mushran

Vivek Mushran made his name in the industry from the movie ‘Saudagar’. He was a big success and people expected a lot from the budding actor. He was known as the ‘ILU ILU guy’. But he failed to do something which him gained considerable success after that. Now, he works as a TV actor and faring quite well. A few serials that he has worked in are Sonpari, Parvarrish and Baat Hamari Pakki Hai.

9. Nargis Fakhri

The golden girl of the superhit movie ‘Rockstar’ with Ranbir Kapoor was given an excellent platform to enter the industry which she leveraged, but after that single success she failed to deliver any good work. She wasn’t offered any good roles and now makes guest appearances and does item songs in movies.

8. Sneha Ullal

The ‘Aishwarya Rai look-alike’ got the opportunity to make it big in bollywood by having her debut with a superstar like Salman Khan in Lucky. She played the role of a dreamy school girl who chances to meet the guy she dotes upon amidst the Russian war. The movie was a hit and she was appreciated too. This success brought to her multiple movie offers but she was not able to re-create the magic of the past again.

7. Kumar Gaurav

The adorable chocolate boy who made a name from the movie ‘Love Story’ could not continue the streak of success after that. He got many offers and he acted in a few but the success of Love Story remained untouched by him again. Later in his career he did a few multi-starrer movies like ‘Kaante’. Now, one can see him making appearances at high profile parties regularly and spot him on page 3 a few times.

6. Bhumika Chawla

The movie ‘Tere Naam’ made Bhumika Chawla a hit. She had the lead role opposite Salman Khan and the movie went on to become a rage with the youth of India. People were crazy about the movie and you could see every other youngster with the ‘Tere Naam’ hairstyle. One would have expected more excellent works and hits from the actress. Though she got quite a few opportunities to show her mettle but she was unable to cash upon them.

5. Ramesh Sippy

The only Director on the list, but he sure does deserve this place. The epic movie, Sholay, tured out to be the only hit this director could produce. But what a hit!! This one-hit was worth a thousand hits put together. He may not have produced any other successful movie for his fans but this one was enough to get his name etched in the history of Indian Cinema.

4. Rahul Roy

When the movie ‘Aashiqui’ hit the theatres, the hero Rahul Roy went on to become the heartthrob of all the girls around India. Rahul Roy did quite a number of movies after his mammoth success but could not recreate the magic of Aashiqui. Years later, he entered the small screen with the Reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ and went on to have an epic win.

3. Gracy Singh

She acted in ‘Lagaan’, the movie that went on to be nominated in The Oscars. People thought she would go on to be one of the most successful actresses of the industry but that was not to be. She even got the IIFA award for The Star Debut of the Year 2002. She did a few movies after her success like Munna Bhai MBBS but the credit of the success went to Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi.

2. Genelia D’souza Deshmukh

Genelia D’souza Deshmukh has been in the industry for quite a long time now but the only movie in her kitty with considerable success is ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’ in which she had a lead role opposite Imran Khan. She did many movies but this is the only one that stands out. Now, she is happily married to her long-time boyfriend Ritesh Deshmukh.

1 .Bhagyashree Patwardhan

This surreal Indian beauty made a name for herself in the movie ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ in the lead role with Salman Khan. Her innocence and cute smile made quite a huge fan following for her. But she did not  come up with any other superhits after that. Sure she had many offers to cash upon but that magic was not created again. One now wonders where she is.
