It’s the saga of magic, potions, flying brooms and rock steady friendship. And how eventually good triumphs over evil.

Harry Potter” is filled with so many amazing characters that it’s really impossible to pick the best one. Some of the famous characters from the series.

#10 Luna Lovegood

Luna Lovegood

Luna Lovegood taught everyone around that it’s okay to be weird as long as you are good from heart. She also taught us that the Hogwarts Ghost Carriages are actually pulled by skeletal demon horses that only appear to children who have witnessed death firsthand. She is amusing, sweet and teaches you to live positively in every situation. And that’s the reason Harry names his daughter after her.

#9 Dobby

dobby-a-house-elf-

His death was one the saddest moment in the entire series. Dobby the House-elf initially seemed really vexed. He was a strange little creature with the habit of hurting himself. He got matters really difficult for harry in the second year yet his intentions were always noble and his loyalty towards Harry was commendable. He was the one to help harry to breath under water and also detect the room of requirement.

#8 Rubeus Hagrid

Hagrid

Well, you’ve read that right. His first name isn’t Hagrid. He was always a straight ally to Harry. He was a gamekeeper at Hogwarts and had his own ways with weird creatures. He brought buckbeak for harry, the White Owl. Hagrid was in that respect from beginning to finish always respecting the trio and Dumbledore.

#7 Minerva McGonagall

Mcgonagall

She’s a hard-but-fair Scottish super witch who cares about her pupils every bit much as she cares about picking the absolute moment to pop up out of nowhere because surprise! She was a cat the whole time. What’s not to love there? Only mind you, as the head of Gryffindor house and Deputy Headmistress of Hogwarts, Professor McGonagall can be a stern disciplinarian.

#6 Draco Malfoy

Malfoy

Someone who grew up exact opposite from Harry, Draco Malfoy was privileged, evil and prejudiced. Draco made sure he kept harry well occupied at Hogwarts by making his life horrible through his evil tactics. Draco was pretty much the bully up until the 6th book and by then you begin to understand that there is more to him than simply that.

#5 Severus Snape

Snape

Whether you love him, or hate him, or love to detest him, Severus Snape makes quite an impact in the Harry Potter series. He can be a nightmare as a teacher. And yet When Harry and his friends thought Snape was the one trying to steal the Sorcerer’s Stone, it turned out he was straining to protect it, and every now and again, Snape actually seemed like he was attempting to help these children. The only thing he loved, truly loved, was Lily Evans; his only friend and confidant. He was fierce and fearless. He saved Harry and became a Death Eater for the order of the phoenix!

#4 Albus Dumbledore

Dumbledore

There’s a whimsical aura to Dumbledore that might mislead some into believing he’s a sort of absent-minded professor. That would be a mistake as he’s tried to be one of the most skilled wizards that ever existed. Albus Dumbledore is the greatest character ever. He’s complexes in a way that isn’t revealed until the seventh. There’s a very cool moment in one of the films where Dumbledore’s about to be caught, but instead a phoenix flies over to him and he catches it and then straight-up disappears in an outburst of flames and it’s amazing.

#3 Ron Weasley

Ron

He is Harry Potter’s best friend. Though considered a sidekick, Ron isn’t a coward or a simpleton, nor is he content to live in Harry’s shadow. And while he lacks Harry’s natural magical talent, or Hermione’s smarts, Ron overcomes his shortcomings with faithfulness and persistence. He is the most underrated, yet the most amazing character. Boys like Ron are what you’ll see in the real world, not the heroic Harry or cowardly Draco.

#2 Hermione Granger

hermione

Love her! You can fantasize her doing everything! Duelling wizards, flying brooms, conjuring spells! She is intelligent, charming and lovable. And while she’s at first painted as a brainy do-gooder who always plays by the conventions, it’s fun to watch Hermione develop into so much more over the course of the series. You’ll find no more dependable friend or magical ally than “the most brilliant witch of her age.”

#1 Harry Potter

potter

Maybe he does not need an Introduction but it is important to know why this character has been so universally taken over. He’s a sympathetic figure; a child plucked from unfortunate circumstances and force into a magical reality. He understands he has been presented with outstanding force. And then he’s pitted against the ultimate evil in the wizarding world, Lord Voldemort, who years ago killed his mother and father. Who saved the Philosopher’s stone? Who got rid of Riddle and the Dementors? Who saved Sirius and escaped Voldemort? Who helped Dumbledore in getting Slughorn’s memory? Last but not the least, WHO KILLED VOLDEMORT? IT WAS HARRY POTTER!
