Flights can be annoying at times, we all agree. And irritating and embarrassing co passengers can add to the woes. Here are the top 10 embarrassing people you can meet on a flight who can zoom your annoyance to a different level!

10. The ‘know it all’ uncle

He’s omnipresent, giving advise to any stranger he gets hold on. Having an hour long conversation with him with make you realize how worthless your job or educational institute is.  From the stock markets to the best colleges, he’s always ready to shower you with his unsolicited advises. He’s busy making generic statements about property being safe investments and job prospects after MBA. Ask him what he does and pat comes the reply “humara to saadi ka showroom hai ji.”. Facepalm.

9.The hyperventilating Aunty

No prizes for guessing that she’s travelling by air for the first time. Squealing and exclaiming about being up in the air, her luggage is heavier than everyone else. Throughout the journey she is lamenting the fact that her home made food is better than the food served in the flight. By the end of the journey, half the flight knows its her first. She’s busy stuffing earphones, sugar sachets and steel spoons in her purse, and nobody can stop her!

 8. The ‘cool’ dude

His fake ‘Beat’ headphones are bigger than his face the music that is playing is loud enough to be heard by at least 8 co passengers. He’s in his own world watching a movie and doesn’t even bother to strike a conversation with you.When he’s not listening to music, he’s busy flirting with the Air hostesses. And just to show off his ‘healthy’ diet, he drinks the disgusting tomato juice we have all tried and puked.

7. Someone who forgot to take a bath 

You walk to your seat, sit comfortably and then realize that there is a dead rat under your seat. In all probability, it is not a rat but someone who woke up to late to take a bath or spray deodorant is contributing to air pollution in his very own way. The concept of soap and water never seemed to have occurred to him. There’s nothing much you can do in this situation as deodorants aren’t allowed on flights. You can just carry a Car freshener in advance on the next flight. Once burnt, twice shy.

6. The sunshine lovers

When you are comfortably sleeping with tour eyes closed, there is always somebody who likes to keep the shutters up and wake people who aren’t wearing eye shades. He’s peering put, admiring the clouds and err the clouds, much to the abhorrence of his co passengers and the flight attendants who have told him ten times by now to keep the shutter down. He’s just too busy admiring the sunrise. He’s probably the reason cell phones are to be switched off in the flight, he’s your very own alarm clock!

5. The complainer 

This can be said, without exaggeration that every flight has a ‘complainer’ who has problems with almost everything. The food, the legroom, the flight delay and what not. And also, he has taken the saying that ‘The flight attendants are there for you’ too seriously. The flight attendants are running around, the passengers are irritated but his tantrums just don’t seem to come to an end.

4. The bathroom tripper

You can swear it on your free coke that this person has gone to the bathroom more number of times than he has consumed liquid. The problem here is that every time this person has to go to answer the nature’s call, you have to excuse them.  Every time their bladder empties, your irritation zooms. But sadly there is not much you can do about it. Chivalry is important after all!

3.The sleep deprived

This one has probably not slept in the past 48 hours and snores like there’s no tomorrow. He reclines the seat all the way to the irritation of the passengers sitting behind him. Considering the seating space in an average economy flight, the passengers do make a polite request. But he’s too sleep deprived to oblige.So either write a letter to the Airlines to start making seats which cannot be reclined much, or just deal with it.

2. The Luggage maniac

He’s travelling with as many luggage bags as you will probably own in a lifetime. And the worst part, he’s hogging the overhead bins with his luggage and stealing other passenger’s carry bag space. Not only this, when he takes his bags out of the over head bins when de boarding, it looks like pandora’s box. It never seems to end! And while he’s bringing down his luggage bags from the cabin, an unending Que has already been formed behind him.

1.The irritating kids

On near every flight, you will encounter one or more child screaming, howling or kicking the back of your seat for no reason. And at times you don’t know whether to feel worse for the parents or your eardrums. From the flight attendants to their parents, everyone has tried to mellow them down, but the enthusiasm and the howling fails to subside. If someone says they love kids, they have probably never had such an experience for sure!
