Well, restrain yourself from too much of alcohol if you don’t want things to counteract. Herbal tea with the ginger essence is one the best drinks to choose. Hot nutritive soups can be taken as well.

Gargling with warm salt water can moisten a sore or scratchy throat and bring temporary relief. To reduce the tickle in your throat, try an astringent gargle such as tea that contains tannin to tighten the membranes. One of the homemade gargle fluids can be made using one tablespoon of raspberry leaves or lemon juice in two cups of hot water and then mix with one teaspoon of honey. Trust me nothing gives more relief than this one!
