10 Quick Breakfast Fixes


Our worlds have insanely sped up. And thanks to the insane work life imbalance, more and more people are missing the breakfast- the most important meal of the day. Many of the up and coming professionals choose to skip the first meal of the day in the elusive race of balancing adequate amount of sleeping and not being late to that important meeting. Nutrition takes a breakfast to deadlines, and health to career.

However, all hope is not lost despite the gloomy appearance of situations. Here we have drawn up a list of ten quick breakfast fixes that will help you become health conscious in addition to being a go getter. We hope that this list will help you not miss your breakfast even if your alarm clock refuses to work and you wake just half an hour before you are supposed to show up for work.

Do not turn your noses up and scoff at the mention of instant noodles. We all know that many of us would not have survived hostel and midnight oil burning sessions without the hallowed packets of maggi, top ramen and Wai Wai. Though your maggi will not be ready in the two minutes that the Telly commercials would have you believe, it is still true that instant noodles are one of the fastest food that you can cook.

And do not despair, there are a crazy number of variants you can cook up with the humble maggi. Chop up vegetables of your choice, add dollops of butter and grated cheese, spice it up with generous sprinklings of paprika or oregano… the options are endless. You can keep on experimenting making sure that your maggi never tastes the same.

Not too different from instant noodles, instant macaronis are equally fun and delicious and lightning quick to whip up. And you must keep your spices handy to dress up your macaroni once in a while.

One quick tip to try out: fry your cooked macaroni with tomato puree. The tangy flavor of the tomato is worthwhile.

This is easy to cook, hassle free and delicious at the same go. All you have to do is break an egg, whisk it, add chopped chillis, onion and make an omelette. Toast a few bread pieces, sprinkle with pepper and salt and you have a tasty quick fix breakfast. Pair it with tomato ketchup or any choice of chutney. Bon Apetit.

Pancakes have always been a classic breakfast staple. And why not, they are delicious and easy to cook. You can whisk up the batter and take the pancake off the pan in record time. And they have been around forever.

They can be made into a number of variants- chocolate pancakes, blueberry pancakes and banana pancakes, to name but a few. And then you can refrigerate the pancake batter and cook again after your breakfast is done. Thank god for pancakes.
